SB 2786  RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND.       CPN, WAM
        Permits the health fund to return the employees' share of
        insurance carrier refunds to beneficiaries based on their years
        of benefit plan participation.  (MIZUGUCHI (BR))

SB 2452  RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE.              CPN, WAM
        Extends health insurance coverage to unmarried dependent
        children of state and county employee-beneficiaries who are
        full-time students up to age 24 and to unmarried children
        regardless of age who are incapable of self-support because of
        a mental or physical incapacity that existed prior to reaching
        the age of 19.  Limits dental plan to unmarried children under
        age 19. (CHUN OAKLAND / FUKUNAGA)

SB 2369  RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.       CPN, WAM
        Upon application to the ERS board, allows a class A member to
        withdraw for one time only, the member's contributions (or a
        portion thereof) for financial hardship.  Defines financial
        hardship.  Requires board to set implementing rules. (LEVIN;
        Bunda, Chun Oakland, D. Ige, Inouye, Iwase, Matsunaga)

SB 3003  RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.       CPN, WAM
        Makes all new public employees class A, contributory members.
        Allows existing class C noncontributory members to elect to
        either remain as class C noncontributory members or become
        class A contributory members.  (KANNO; Taniguchi)

the committee clerk, Room 202, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the
hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to
the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll
free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When
faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date
and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to
participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the
disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the
hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the measures
and testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared use by
members of the public.
